Biography:
Dr Nazar Abdelgabar is a Gastroenterology and General Medicine doctor with extensive clinical experience in acute medicine, gastroenterology, and infectious diseases. Currently, working at St Mary’s Hospital(IOW), UK. He manages complex and high-acuity cases, with a particular interest in gastrointestinal disorders and their systemic complications. He has contributed to quality improvement initiatives that have led to measurable improvements in clinical protocols and patient outcomes. He is also actively involved in medical education, having organised and delivered training programme for junior doctors, particularly in core clinical procedures. Dr Abdelgabar is presenting “From Gut to Spine: From Traveller’s Diarrhoea to Discitis and Osteomyelitis,” a rare case highlighting the importance of early diagnosis and coordinated multidisciplinary management. He holds MRCP (London) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
