Biography:
Dr. Ramesh Kothari is a distinguished Professor of Microbiology and Head of the UGC-CAS Department of Biosciences at Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India. He also coordinates the M.Sc. Biotechnology program. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Microbiology from Saurashtra University, completing his Ph.D. in 2003, followed by postdoctoral research at Rutgers University, USA. With over 27 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Kothari has supervised numerous M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. scholars in areas including Bioremediation, Agricultural Microbiology, and Probiotics. He has published 61 international peer-reviewed articles, 13 conference papers, 12 book chapters, 4 books, and holds 2 patents. Dr. Kothari serves on several national and international academic boards, editorial committees, and research review panels, and has contributed to genome sequencing projects. His global collaborations and expertise have made him a recognized leader in microbiology research and education.
