Biography:
Saptarnab Ganguly is currently a PhD research scholar at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Hyderabad. He obtained a B.Sc. in Microbiology (Hons.) from Calcutta University (2020) and an M.Sc. in Life Science from TIFR Hyderabad (2023). His PhD work employs experimental and computational approaches to determine how dietary cues are integrated in the small intestine to drive region-specific metabolic and transcriptional plasticity. Part of his work which describes the impact of chronic sucrose- water consumption on intestinal molecular rewiring and its effects at a systemic level, has been published in Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry where he is a co-lead author.
