Biography:
Dr. Leszczynska, who completed her PhD in Regenerative Medicine at the National University of Galway in Ireland, currently serves as the Scientific Lead at the University of California San Diego, California, within Prof. Feldstein's lab, a role she has held since 2018. Her work primarily involves overseeing diverse, interdisciplinary teams with a special focus on liver disease, novel biomarker discovery, and therapeutic strategies for MASH. During her time at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she supervised teams and conducted research on exosomes, eye stem cells, and microRNA expression in diabetic corneas. Notably, her role as the Principal Investigator of an NIA award at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2013 to 2016 was marked by significant contributions to aging studies and startup initiatives. Dr. Leszczynska is deeply committed to advancing medical knowledge and making pioneering contributions to the field of research.
