Gastrointestinal Motility Is Critical For Normal Digestion And Absorption Of Nutrients, As Well As For Elimination Of Waste Products. It Is Essential For Proper Health And Well-Being. The Small And Large Intestines Are The Main Sites Of Gastrointestinal Motility. The Small Intestine Is Responsible For The Bulk Of Digestion And Absorption Of Nutrients, While The Large Intestine Is Responsible For The Absorption Of Water And Electrolytes And The Elimination Of Waste Products. Gastrointestinal Motility Is Regulated By A Combination Of Hormones, Neurotransmitters, And Neuromuscular Mechanisms. Gastrointestinal Motility Is Regulated By Several Hormones, Including Gastrin, Cholecystokinin (CCK), And Secretin. Gastrin Is Released By The Stomach In Response To A Meal And Stimulates Gastric Acid Production And Motility. CCK Is Released By The Duodenum And Stimulates Gallbladder Contraction And The Release Of Digestive Enzymes From The Pancreas.
